Stockport-based Trust has dived into a new project for housing assciation Riverside and developed a range of posters that would appeal to the diverse range of Riverside communities.
As well as being a housing association, Riverside offers volunteering opportunities that help their residents to feel like proud, worthwhile members of their community. Trust works closely with Riverside to help them achieve their vision, ‘Transforming lives. Revitalising neighbourhoods’ and this latest campaign has been designed to raise awareness of these volunteering opportunities.
During the concept development stage, Trust spoke to Riverside’s
diverse range of existing volunteers with the creative idea of retelling
their volunteering stories through bright, eye-catching illustrations.
Trust’s Managing Director Stuart Bradley commented:
“The aim of this project and was to create a sense of inclusivity and
worth. We highlighted people who had volunteered already, and
showed that volunteers could come from any age group, gender or
race.
“But more importantly we attracted people into volunteering who had
struggled with addiction, bankruptcy or criminality and gave them a
springboard for a career or to rebuild their lives.”
