In the latest of a series of webinars, Transport for the North (TfN) will bring together a panel from across the region to discuss priorities for businesses after the Covid-19 crisis.
This session aims to bring together voices from across the North to understand what the priorities are for businesses. The current Covid-19 crisis has provided a new challenge, but how much will this impact on existing longer term priorities, and how has it reshaped them in any way?
Panellists will reflect on the priorities for the North of England business communities, both rural and urban; what difference the challenge of Covid-19 have to the aspirations of the region; and what are the long-term objectives that need to be realised. Transport for the North has recently published an Economic Recovery Plan for how transport can be used to get the North moving, and there are also many other areas that need to be addressed if the region is to Build Back Better.
Panellists confirmed for the last Transport for the North webinar include:
- Tim Foster | Head of Policy, Strategy, Economics and Research, Transport for the North
- Cllr Don MacKenzie | Executive Member for Transport, North Yorkshire County Council
- Peter Kennan | Board Member for Transport, Sheffield City Region LEP
- Emma Degg | Chief Executive, North West Business Leadership Team
- Miranda Barker | Chief Executive, East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce
The Transport for the North webinar session, part of the #TfNTalks series, will be held via Zoom video conferencing platform from 3pm to 4pm on Friday 24th. Those wishing to attend can register for a place on Eventbrite, where there will also be an opportunity to submit questions to the panel.
