TOGETHER TRUST RECEIVE NEW LORD’S TAVERNERS MINIBUS

The Lord’s Taverners were in Cheshire on June 14 to present a new minibus to the Together Trust.

The Together Trust is a charity that offers care, support and special education to children, adults and families in the North West and beyond.  This includes those with behavioural problems, learning difficulties, physical disabilities and autism spectrum conditions.  Everyone has the ability and the right to experience joy, happiness and hope.

The new minibus will be a vital lifeline for users to get out and experience their local community. The new vehicle is allowing the Together Trust to continue to offer the pupils trips to attend sporting activities, inclusion visits to other schools and work experience opportunities.

The Lord’s Taverners, the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity, will donate over £3 million this year to help give disadvantaged and disabled young people a ‘sporting chance’ in life.

Since 1976, the Lord’s Taverners has placed over 1,110 minibuses across schools in the UK. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the first minibus donation, and to celebrate this, the charity will be giving away a record 40 minibuses in 2016.

The iconic Lord’s Taverners minibuses provide disadvantaged and disabled young people with the chance to engage with their local community by getting more access to the facilities on offer and build important life skills in the process.
