Specialist lender Together has launched its Let’s get Going enterprise scheme in schools and colleges across the region, giving budding young entrepreneurs a taste of what it takes to make a commercial vision a reality.
Over 20 schools and colleges were invited to take part, but only a select few will make the final cut, and present their ideas to the judges; commercial CEO Marc Goldberg, personal finance CEO Pete Ball, commercial director Chris Baguley and finance director Helga Wright.

The winners will compete in a ‘Dragons’ Den’ style event at Together’s head office in December, with prizes of up to £2500 for the winning school and iPad minis and Amazon vouchers for the students.
Kevin Fisher, HR director at Together said:
“This is our first ‘Let’s get Going’ competition and we’re really looking forward to seeing what ideas the students come back with. It’s quite a challenging task we’ve set them but we hope it will help young people in developing core skills.
“Our team of volunteers utilised their different areas of expertise to put the programme together and have been visiting schools across the region to present it to students, with very positive feedback.”
‘Let’s get Going’ is part of the company’s wider ‘Let’s make it count’ initiative which spans charity, community and the environment and recently received the ‘Excellence in CSR’ award at the Stockport Business Awards.
