Together announces changes to senior leadership team

Stockport-based specialist lender, Together, has announced a number of changes of its senior leadership team and Board as Marc Goldberg, CEO of Sales and Distribution, announces his intention to retire.

Marc Goldberg (pictured), CEO of Sales and Distribution, has decided to retire from Together in December 2026 after a long and extremely successful career with the Group. Marc will step down from the Group Board with effect from 30th June 2025. As part of a planned succession, Ryan Etchells, Chief Commercial Officer, will take on additional responsibilities for sales and distribution from 1st July 2025 and work with Marc over the next 18 months to ensure a smooth transition.

“On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Marc for his outstanding contribution and dedication to Together and for his support as a member of the Group Board. At a personal level, I would like to thank Marc for his help and guidance over many years and wish him all the best for the future.”

Alongside Marc Goldberg’s retirement, Together has also announced three new additions to its senior leadership team and Board: Cheryl Brough, Dave Sutherland, and Candice Lott.

Cheryl Brough joins Together as Chief People Officer with effect from 1st August 2025, bringing extensive experience in leading people functions in financial services and insurtech. Cheryl joins from tech-led insurance company, Prima Assicurazioni, headquartered in Italy, where she is currently Chief People & Culture Officer. Earlier in her career she was Chief Human Resources Officer at Provident Financial Group and Group Human Resources Director at Cabot Credit Management.

Dave Sutherland joins as Chief Operating Officer with effect from 1st July 2025. Previously Group Director of Business Efficiency and Interim CEO (UK) at Bank of Ireland, he brings over 20 years’ experience in operations, technology and process transformation in finance and retail. Earlier in his career, Dave was Group COO and Chief Executive of the Asset Management and Servicing division at Arrow Global and worked at TD Bank, GE Capital, and Santander UK.

Candice Lott joins as Chief Marketing Officer with effect from 30th June 2025. She was previously Owner and Founder of digital transformation and marketing consultancy, We Are The Digital Type, where she helped brands such as easyJet, parkrun, Corendon Airlines and the Post Office deliver commercial, marketing and digital transformation projects. Earlier in her career she held senior marketing roles with Greene King, Nando’s, Thomas Cook and Compare the Market.

Richard Rowntree, Group Chief Executive Officer of Together, said:

They bring extensive experience and will further strengthen and diversify our senior leadership team as we build on our past success and take the Group to the next level. I also thank Marc for his outstanding contribution to Together over the last 38 years. It has been a great pleasure to work with him and I am sure he will continue to be a good friend and supporter of the Group into the future.”
