Cheadle-based specialist lender Together is set to be the headline sponsor for one of Greater Manchester’s biggest charity events, Strictly Seashell.
The annual dancing event sees 10 local businessmen and women along with famous faces from across the Northwest learning to dance with professional dance partners to raise funds for Seashell.
Seashell is a national learning disability charity, based in Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire which supports children and young adults with complex learning difficulties, disabilities, and additional communication needs, and their families from across the UK.
Together has sponsored the event for a number of years, but this is the first time the Cheadle-based lender has been headline sponsor.
Dianne Gill, Seashell Fundraising Manager said:
“Strictly Seashell is our flagship fundraising event, which has raised over £500,000 since our first one in 2018. We simply can’t raise these kinds of funds for the children and young adults at Seashell, without the generosity of our supporters and sponsors. We are absolutely thrilled and delighted that Together is our headline sponsor for Strictly Seashell 2023.”
Kevin Fisher, Group People Director at Together said:
“We are delighted to be the headline sponsor for this year’s Strictly Seashell event. The charity is immensely important to us here at Together; and being able to raise money for such a worthy cause in a fun and engaging way is great.
“We have already built up a close relationship with Seashell over many years, and we’re excited to be working with them to bring this event to life.”
Strictly Seashell 2022 raised over £200,000 and was hosted by Good Morning live host Gethin Jones with ex-Strictly dancer and TV personality Dr Ranj being part of the judging panel alongside Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon and ice skating husband Sylvain Longchambon.
This year’s Strictly Seashell event will take place at the Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground on Saturday 13th May. Tables and tickets are limited, for more information, contact Lorna Thompson.
