The Range Superstore Opening in Stockport

January 25, 2019

The Range Superstore is opening in Stockport

The Range Superstore Group, the fastest growing retailer in the UK, is set to open a new store in Stockport creating around 80 local jobs.

With 150 stores across the UK, The Range has agreed to take over the former 44,000 sq ft Toys R Us unit at Stockport Retail Park, Peel Centre in Stockport town centre.

Owners Peel Land and Property have agreed a deal that will see The Range open later this year and extend into a further 10,000 sq ft to the rear of the unit, adding store space and creating a garden centre.

The Range, which currently stocks more than 65,000 products across 16 different departments, from Homewares and Furniture to DIY and Art Supplies, joins an impressive lineup of existing high street names including Dunelm Mill, TK Maxx, Wilkos and Matalan.

Roger Wheeldon, development manager at Peel L&P, which owns and manages Stockport Retail Park, said:

“The Range superstore coming to Stockport Retail Park is testament to the Peel Retail Parks philosophy, to continuously improve the offer for our customers with a diverse line up of retailers through re-investment into our retail parks portfolio.

“This new deal with The Range takes the park back up to full occupancy. We’re very much looking forward to their arrival.’’

Chris Dawson, who owns and founded The Range in 1989, said:

“Stockport Retail Park provides an ideal location for a new branch of The Range, with strong footfall and a varied retailer line up.

“We’re confident the new store will be hugely popular and we’re looking forward to unveiling our fantastic selection of products to shoppers. The new store will create 80 new jobs for the local area.”

The Range Group also run an Affiliate Programme where participants are rewarded for every sale generated via your website, blog or social media feed, earning 2% commission on every order placed via that link.
