With further relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions from 17th May, Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is updating its planning advice to ensure that increased passenger numbers can still travel safely.
As more businesses reopen and people return to the workplace it is important that staff and customers feel safe using Greater Manchester’s transport network. Transport services and roads are likely to be busier, and due to social distancing requirements capacity on public transport is limited.
As a result, TfGM is providing organisations across Greater Manchester with guidance and advice to help enable staff and customers to travel confidently and make informed travel decisions.
As an employer you can help by:
- Encouraging your staff and customers to travel at quieter times on weekdays Before 7am
- Before 7am
- Between 10am and 3pm
- After 6pm
- And before 8pm and after 10pm on Saturday
- Encouraging staff and customers to walk or cycle for shorter journeys
- Promote safe travel behaviour – Hands, Face, Space, Fresh Air
- Share our travel advice on @OfficialTfGM on your social media channels
- Sign up to the TfGM Business Travel Network for more informative, incentives, advice and guides
Further information and advice for businesses to help staff and customers with travel planning can be found on the TfGM website.
