Transport for Greater Manchester – TfGM – is giving businesses in Stockport the chance to test drive electric vehicles for free.
AVRO Heritage Museum, Woodford is the venue where TfGM will be hosting “Go Electric”, an opportunity to test drive a selection of electric vehicles and discuss the potential for making use of electric vehicles within your business.
As part of the Clean Air Early Measures project, TfGM is hosting an electric vehicle experience event in Stockport on the 6th March 2019.
This free business-only event will take place at the AVRO Museum in Woodford between 10am and 3pm.
This event will be delivered in partnership with Let’s Experience Electric, GM Chamber of Commerce, Stockport Council and the Energy Saving Trust.
During the event, guests will be provided with details about proposed updates to the Greater Manchester Electric Vehicle – GMEV – network, coverage of Greater Manchester’s wider clean air plans, examples of businesses who have made the electric switch and an opportunity to test drive some of the latest EV models.
Companies such as Nissan, Renault, Tesla, Hyundai, BMW and Kia will be in attendance as well as some e-bike providers. TfGM will also be providing a look at utility vehicles from Stockport based, Bradshaws.
The Energy Saving Trust will also be on hand, offering businesses fleet reviews and wider discussions about how to save carbon through fleets.
The purpose of the event is to widen businesses knowledge of Electric Vehicles and assist in the transition from current fleet, to a new, cleaner way of driving. It’s also to highlight how the expansion of the public network for charging can help support businesses looking to make the switch to Electric.
There is no charge to attend.
