Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is highlighting the benefits of travelling sustainably over the East period through their #GetOnBoard campaign.
Through the campaign, TfGM is sharing how choosing to walk, wheel or cycle, or to catch the bus or tram, offers proven health benefits, and how their range of ticket offers can save money.
TfGM is encouraging residents, visitors and commuters to take advantage of lower bus fares, Metrolink’s flexible travel options such as the new Bee AnyBus + Tram ticket range, and the city-region’s expanding active travel network.
As part of the #GetOnBoard campaign, businesses are receiving support to encourage their workforce and customers to use public transport and active travel to help shape the future of the Bee Network. TfGM’s interactive online business portal acts as a ‘one stop shop’ for firms looking to make affordable and sustainable travel choices, support the wider economy, and help Greater Manchester towards its ambitious target of becoming carbon neutral by 2038.
TfGM has also launched a new Business Travel Hub to make it easier for businesses to promote sustainable forms of transport to their workforce. The Business Travel Hub includes downloadable materials (images, videos, social and newsletter copy, posters) which can be adapted for use in the workplace to promote sustainable travel, for example in internal newsletters, on noticeboards or via the intranet.
