Businesses in Stockport have until 11th August to share their views on the public transport network before Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) closes its Business Travel Survey.
The survey aims to understand how businesses feel about the current public transport and active travel network in Greater Manchester, and what would encourage organisations to take up sustainable ways of traveling for both employees and business operations.
Greater Manchester is working towards an ambitious target for becoming carbon neutral by 2038, and transport plays a significant role in reaching this. Greater Manchester’s transport and travel priorities aim to provide an environmentally sustainable network which is accessible, affordable and easy to use, and that supports long-term economic growth and access to opportunity for all. Encouraging sustainable travel to and from the workplace, and how customers and visitors access businesses and services, can play an important part in meeting the city-region’s net-zero goals.
In light of this, TfGM’s Business Travel Survey provides organisations with the opportunity to give feedback on the opportunities and challenges for businesses choosing sustainable travel to inform advice and services, to improve the way TfGM communicates with businesses, and to shape the development of the Bee Network: Greater Manchester’s vision for an integrated London-style public transport network, bringing together rail, tram, bus and walking and cycling routes.
The Business Travel Survey takes only approximately 5 minutes to complete and can be completed online here by Friday 11th August.
