To support the launch of our new name “Supportability” (formerly Stockport CP Society) and brand identity, the Fundraising Team held a special launch event to share the news with many of their partners and supporters. The event was held at Project 53 Stockport on Thursday evening.
We’ve changed our name for the best of reasons; our old name and logo no longer accurately reflected what we as an organisation offer or stand for and suggested that we were ‘Stockport’ and Cerebral Palsy focused.
The reality is that we operate across a much wider geographic area and we provide services and support to disabled children and adults not just with Cerebral Palsy but also other complex physical and learning disabilities.

We’re confident that our new name of Supportability, our strapline ‘Making life better for people with disabilities’ and our up-to-date and engaging brand identity makes our service range clearer and will support us in our efforts to reach out effectively to the individuals, groups and supporters that we work with or who support us both now and into the future.
Becky Shorrock Head of Fundraising commented “Our new name and brand identity is such an important step for the charity going forward in terms of accurately presenting what we do in a more modern and appealing way. I was delighted to be able to share the news in person with so many of our supporters and partners. The brand was received incredibly positively on the night reaffirming our decision to change.”
We were joined by our creative agency Only Five Minutes who were instrumental in creating the new name and brand identity.
