Stockport charity, Supportability, has confirmed that it will be hold its annual charity golf day once again this year on 9th July at Heaton Moor Golf Club.
The golf day is one of the most important dates in Supportability’s calendar, and is the charity’s biggest fundraising event in any given year. Unfortunately, the organisation was forced to cancel last year’s event due to the coronavirus pandemic, which resulted in a huge loss of fundraising income.
The money raised from events such as these go directly into funding essential services, supporting local children, young people and adults with complex physical and/or learning difficulties and autistic spectrum conditions in Stockport and the surrounding area.
Determined to make up for last year, Supportability have the biggest and best event yet planned and is calling for local businesses to lend their support. There are so many ways to get involved, whether that be entering a team, volunteering to help out on the day, donating a raffle prize or being one of the charity’s sponsors, all of which make the event possible.
Team places are available from just £200 and can expect to enjoy a round of golf at the stunning Heaton Moor Gold Course with fantastic prizes for mens’ and ladies’ teams, a meal and evening entertainment, spot prizes on every hole and more. Some of the charity’s Service Users will also be in action thanks to Dave Myers, Head Golf Coach, GB Special Olympics team.
Supportability is also pleased to announce that ACS Construction will return as main sponsor for the day, with Catax tax accountants and logistics firm Cardinal as co-sponsors. Spot prizes have been sponsored by Middlewich-based chemicals firm, Penn White.
