Strawberry Radio’s new live streaming service with Stockport County got off to a flying start as the Hatters celebrated a 3-0 win at home against Eastleigh.
Stockport’s newest radio station has proved a hit with Sky Bet League 2 contenders Stockport County and has taken over live matchday commentary.
Currently knocking on the door to promotion, local businessman Mark Stott bought the club in January last year saying he wants to achieve ‘great things’ with the club. A first priority as new owner was to improve football operations and match day fan experience at Edgeley Park.

Fans are already seeing the results where Mr Stott has stamped his own mark at Edgeley Park with major investment including a complete refurbishment of the club’s facilities akin to a club with ambition to climb the tables.
As part of the club’s moves to improve the County experience, the club has partnered with local radio station Strawberry Radio to provide the commentary stream for FREE. For the rest of the season, fans can listen to the live steam online, via Smart Speakers, DAB or via the Strawberry Radio app.
Strawberry are delighted to take over the commentary of their home team:
We’re extremely happy to be supporting our local team; as Stockport’s local radio station it’s a natural match”.
Fans who want to watch as well as hear match commentary can view the team’s video streams via the club website for a fee.
