Parfetts Cash & Carry this week announced the death of Robert Parfett, who passed away on Monday March 11. Robert, aged 53, had been suffering from cancer for some time.
In a statement this week Parfetts said of Robert:
“In his usual determined and understated way, he quietly set about
dealing with the burden and entered a period of remission.
Unfortunately, the cancer returned in a more aggressive form, and
sadly after a relatively short period, he passed away.
Robert was not only a beloved member of the Parfett family, but also of
colleagues at Parfetts. His loss is keenly felt.”
And company managing director David Grimes said:
“Robert personified the special nature of the Parfetts business, and we
will all be richer for having known him. He was hugely respected by
those who were touched by his gentle demeanour, and loved by those
who were lucky enough to know him personally.”
