It’s going to be Red Nose Day at a Stockport vaccination clinic on Saturday, 20th March.
Clinical staff and 23 volunteers at Heald Green Village Hall are raising awareness and funds for Comic Relief. The team will be decorating their face masks and wearing red t-shirts in aid of the biennial fundraiser.
Dr Viren Mehta, Clinical Director at Cheadle Primary Care Network which operates the vaccination clinic, said:
The pandemic has made us realise that all over the world, the most vulnerable people in society are affected the most.
“Comic Relief is a charity with a far reach and this year it’s never felt more important to have some fun and raise money to support people living incredibly tough lives.”
Around 1,200 people have been booked onto this vaccination session which is by invitation only and you should not turn up unless you have an appointment. When you do receive a vaccination invitation, please make sure you book and attend it.
So far in Stockport, over 118,000 residents have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine either from their GP, in care settings or at dedicated vaccination clinics such as at Heald Green Village Hall.
