Stockport-based environmental and sustainability consultancy, Envance, has been acquired by London-based Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance (TICC) sector firm, Celnor Group.
Founded in 2020, Stockport-based Envance has built a strong reputation for helping organisations embed sustainability at the heart of their projects. They provide end-to-end environmental and sustainability services, including ESG strategy, carbon and climate planning, ecology and biodiversity assessments, biodiversity net gain (BNG), natural capital valuation, environmental compliance and permitting, alongside digital tool development for monitoring and reporting.
Following the acquisition, the business will join Celnor’s Built Environment division.
Erica Kemp, Director of Envance, said:
“Joining Celnor represents a huge opportunity for Envance. Our mission has always been to help clients transition effectively to greener solutions. Working alongside Celnor’s other member companies will allow us to scale up our impact, reach more projects, and deliver even greater value for sustainability outcomes.”
Chris John, Director of Envance, added:
“Since launching Envance, our goal has been to help clients navigate the complexities of environmental regulation while creating opportunities for positive, lasting change. This is a very exciting and important milestone for the entire Envance team as well as our clients.”
The deal marks Celnor’s seventh Northern acquisition since its founding in 2023, with Manchester businesses Concept Environmental and Urban Green, Chester-based Arbtech and Brownfield Solutions along with MSS in Derby and two northern offices for APEC Environmental having already joined the business.
Simon Parrington, CEO and Founder of Celnor Group, commented:
“I’m delighted to welcome Envance to the Celnor Group. Their sustainability-focused approach and deep technical expertise make them a natural fit for our Built Environment division. By investing in the team and working with other Celnor member companies, we can deliver solutions for a wide variety of clients that not only meet the highest technical standards but also create lasting positive outcomes for the environment.”
