Stockport start-up, BeautifulGame.co.uk has acquired licences to print products for three world-renowned brands, including Universal Studios.
Since being founded, e-commerce start-up, BeautifulGame.co.uk, now has licensing deals to prints and sells wall stickers for over 70 brands. For the first time, they will now be able to produce official art for Manchester United FC, WWE wrestling, and Universal Studios movie franchises, including Despicable Me, Trolls, Jurassic World and How To Train Your Dragon.
The company, established in 2013, produces wall stickers for themed bedrooms, which customers can personalise and have printed to order. Whilst initially focusing on partnerships with football clubs, Beautifulgame.co.uk now works with over 40 clubs and has since branched out into entertainment brands and franchises after first striking a deal to produce Peter Rabbit products.
Founder, Sebastian Mather, says of the deal:
We are most proud of our partnership with Universal Studios which has allowed us to continue growing above and beyond our expectations.
“We have also recently launched exclusive ranges with the WWE, Paddington Bear, Sonic the Hedgehog, ‘We’re going on a Bear Hunt’ and Shaun the Sheep.
Next week, we will be launching an exclusive range of Wall Stickers with much-loved TV show PJ Masks.”
Sebastian attributes his Stockport start-up’s success to its print-on-demand model. This model, therefore, has allowed them to secure a strong competitive advantage because of their personalised prints.
Despite leaving school at 16 with 2 GCSEs having struggled with dyslexia, BeautifulGame.co.uk is Sebastian Mather’s second start-up business. He continues:
It took 3 years of hard work and many false dawns to begin to build momentum and agree our first licensing contract. At one point in 2014, we had £25k of debt in the business and month to month we were consistently making a loss, but we kept striving on and slowly built something that today we are very proud of.”
