Julie Ollerton, Managing Director of Creative Resource, a Stockport based specialist recruitment agency for Creative and Marketing professionals, has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship of Lancaster University.
Julie has become one of 34 people presented with the honour since they were first introduced in 2006 to recognise those who have made an outstanding contribution to the University or local region.
The award recognises her work in supporting career development and creating opportunities for graduate talent in the creative and marketing sectors in the North West. She has worked directly with Lancaster University Management School on employability and more widely with students of Lancaster and other Northern Universities through the industry initiative Two+Two.
Julie was presented with the award at a fellowship dinner by Lancaster University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Andy Schofield. She said of the accolade:
“In my role as MD of Creative Resource, I’ve been able to bring together industry and future talent. Lancaster University has been hugely supportive of the industry initiatives we run, giving their students access to a swathe of mentoring, placement and employment opportunities. I am thrilled and honoured to be awarded this Honorary Fellowship.”
