Stockport’s Vernon Building Society are looking for the best pictures of the local area to feature in their 2015 calendar which will be sold to raise money for their community Jubilee Fund.
To enter the competition photographers just need to join and upload their image of the local area to the Vernon’s Flickr Group at https://www.flickr.com/groups/vbscalendarcompetition2014/ with a brief description of where in Stockport it was taken by 30th September 2014.
Alternatively entries can be emailed to photographycomp@thevernon.co.uk The Society will then choose their 12 favourite images to feature in their calendar.
Chief Executive of the Vernon, Mike Hanson, said:
“We’re really proud of where we’re based – there’s some fantastic scenery and iconic buildings and structures in the area which we’re looking to capture in our 2015 calendar. By selling the calendar we hope to raise a significant sum of money which will all be put back into the community through our Jubilee Fund.”
The calendar will be released in November and will be available from all branches of Vernon Building Society.
All proceeds from the sale of the calendar will go to the Jubilee Fund, which has donated over £20,000 to Stockport causes since 2012.
All photographers will be credited for their work.
