Vernon Building Society are looking for the best pictures of the local area to feature in their 2016 calendar which will be sold to raise money for their community Jubilee Fund. The stunning images captured in their 2015 calendar helped to raise over £1,500 for local causes.
To enter the competition photographers just need to sign-up and upload their image to the Vernon’s Flickr Group athttps://www.flickr.com/groups/vbscalendarcompetition2015/ with a brief description of where in Stockport it was taken. Alternatively entries can be emailed to photographycomp@thevernon.co.uk. After the deadline date of 21st September 2015, the Society will then choose their 12 favourite images to feature in the 2016 calendar.
Chief Executive of the Vernon, Mike Hanson, said: “We’re proud of where we’re based – there’s some fantastic scenery and iconic buildings and structures in the area which our 2015 calendar captured wonderfully. By selling the calendar we hope to raise a significant sum of money which will all be put back into the community through our Jubilee Fund.”
The calendar will be released in November and made available from all branches of Vernon Building Society. All proceeds from the sale of the calendar will go to the Jubilee Fund, which has donated over £30,000 to Stockport causes since 2012. All photographers will be credited for their work.
