
Employers in Greater Manchester are being asked to share their views on Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) to support staff with health and wellbeing in an online survey.
Working Well Early Help, which offers support to people with a disability or health condition who are working, absent or newly unemployed, and was developed as an early intervention programme to support businesses with persistent absence and health challenges faced by staff.
The organisation is now looking to hear from SME employers across the city-region to gauge support for pay-as-you-go EAP services in order to add to their support offer and reach a greater number of Greater Manchester businesses and workers.
141.4 million working days were lost due to sickness and injury in the UK in 2018, which is 4.4 days per worker. The most common reasons were, back, neck and upper limb pain, and mental health conditions such as stress, depression and anxiety. EAPs to support their staff members, particularly with cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), counselling and physiotherapy services.
The 10 question survey should take no more than five minutes to complete online and the results will be used to help guide future EAP health and wellbeing support for workers across Greater Manchester. Complete the survey here.
