The Stockport Porsche Centre, currently being built, is beginning its recruitment drive ready for the dealership’s opening in May 2020.
The dealership will be run by Stratstone, who already represent the Porsche brand at their Wilmslow dealership. The car maker is expanding its dealer network ahead of the launch of its first all electric model in 2020.
The dealership is due to open in May 2020 and employ 28 staff, including sales and technicians.
Head of Resourcing, Sian Hall, said:
We are excited to be expanding our network of Porsche Centres and bringing investment to Stockport. With the centre set to open in May, we’re looking for enthusiastic new team members to fill a number of roles at the site.”
The dealership will occupy a 34,500 square foot site off Marsland Street, alongside the M60 and Tesco Extra store.
The main showroom of 26,500 square foot will feature workshops, while servicing and repair bays will be part of a separate 8,000 square foot building. The full site will have room for around 240 vehicles.
The Porsche dealership will be the second premium car brand to expand its Stockport presence in recent years, after LSH Auto opened their flagship Mercedes dealership just off junction 1 of the M60, the largest in Europe.
