Stockport creative agency ‘Instilled’ have launched a free to use photo library, containing images of Stockport and the surrounding area.
Creative Director at the agency, Inness Mattinson, was inspired to create the resource after coming across the same images being used to represent the town over and over again. He said:
Many of the stock libraries we all use for ancillary website images and presentations tend to hold the same 4 or 5 images and I for one am sick of seeing the same image if our viaduct however impressive it is. There is a lot more to Stockport than 11 million bricks and the M60! We all know that Stockport is a thriving, dynamic and modernising town but these aspects are totally unrepresented by the imagery currently available.”
The Stockport photo library shows the old town (and the viaduct!) but also includes the latest modern developments and Instilled hope it will help anyone associated with the town to show those poor souls who don’t live or work here what a great place it is.
The library currently contains 50 photos and there are a further 350 images of Stockport which will be added in the coming weeks. The images can be used for businesses websites, presentations or social media feeds.
While the images are being made available for free, Instilled have partnered with Stockport charity Supportability, using the photo library to raise funds. Inness continued:
Supportability provides life-changing support to disabled children and adults. As we don’t make any charge for using our photo library but we would really appreciated it if you would support our charity partner Supportability and make a donation when using the library. A link to Supportability’s donations page is on the Stockport Photo Resources page.”
