Stockport Council is running a campaign to recruit more foster carers for older children and brothers and sisters.
The ‘Create Memories’ campaign is running throughout October and includes powerful messages on billboards and local radio adverts encouraging people to come forward to consider fostering local children.
Councillor Wendy Meikle, Stockport Council’s Executive Member for Children & Young People, said:
“We are committed to recruiting more foster carers in Stockport. Like most areas across the country we are in particular need of foster carers for older children and sibling groups. There is also a scheme recently introduced for specialist carers and we are always interested in hearing from anyone who is thinking of considering fostering to contact the Council for more information.”

Regular monthly open evenings will be held on 7th October and 4th November at Stockport Town Hall starting at 6.00pm to 7.15pm for anyone interested in fostering older children or brothers and sisters, plus finding out more information about fostering in general.
