The proclamation followed the Principal proclamation of His Majesty The King Charles III at St James’s Palace, London, on 10th September; the Accession Council met beforehand and formally declared the reign of His Majesty The King Charles III, before being cascaded and read throughout the country.
Manchester City Council hosted the Greater Manchester proclamation ceremony on Sunday, whilst later the same day, the Mayor of Stockport, Cllr David Wilson, proclaimed the ascension of His Majesty The King Charles III to Monarch of the United Kingdom in a ceremony on the steps of Stockport Town Hall.
