Stockport Law firm SAS Daniels LLP has secured its place in two national legal guides, taking top spot for its Corporate and Commercial work with Managing Partner Jeremy Orrell recognised as a leading individual in the North West.
Head of the family team at the firm’s office on Greek Street, Shelley Chesworth, has also been cited as a recognised practitioner by Chambers UK in a new entry to the regarded industry guide.
With multiple listings in Legal 500 2018 and Chambers UK 2019, many of the firms’ specialist teams and individuals have been recognised.
In the Legal 500, the go-to guide for choosing a law firm, SAS Daniels’ Corporate and Commercial, Commercial Litigation, Insolvency and Corporate Recovery, Employment, Agriculture and Estates, Family, Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate, Education, Commercial Property and Construction teams have all made the coveted list.
Corporate and Commercial ranked in the highest tier whilst Agriculture, Family, Personal Tax, Trust and Probate, Education and Commercial Property all featured in tier two.
Researchers from Legal 500 praised Stockport solicitor James Clarke for his methodical and thoughtful approach to commercial property legal work, whilst Andy Booth was cited for his multiple areas of specialisms within commercial matters, including his ability to advise on music contracts.
The full-service law firm has also been featured in Chambers UK, a guide to the industry’s best. Its Corporate, Employment and Private Wealth teams all excelled in this year’s research along with some of the firm’s leading individuals.
In addition to Shelley Chesworth’s entry as recognised practitioner, Jonathan Whittaker, senior partner in the employment team was ranked in the research. He was praised for his “sound, commercial employment law advice in a clear and understandable manner”.
