On 17th August, the Housing Options and Property Management Teams from Stockport Homes Group will be taking part in a sponsored Bus Pull at Manchester Central.
With the bus weighing in at 11,200 kg, the team aim to work together to tow the vehicle 30 metres in a timed trial to raise money for The Greater Manchester Mayor’s homelessness charity.
The Mayor’s charity is funding a range of initiatives to tackle rough sleeping and support the increasing number of people in housing need. The Stockport Homes team are taking part in the challenge alongside the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity to raise as much as possible for this great cause.
Jenny Osbourne – Chair of Stockport Homes Group Board, said:
“It’s great to see Stockport Homes Group working alongside organisations across Greater Manchester for such a great cause. This challenge represents an opportunity to raise awareness of the tireless work the Stockport Homes Housing Options and Property Management Teams deliver, whilst raising much-needed funds to support those facing homelessness across Greater Manchester. Best of luck to Team SHG!”
Stockport Homes Group’s Housing Options and Property Management Teams are hoping to raise at least £500 for the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity at the Bus Pull event.
For anyone who would like to sponsor their efforts, the team have set up a JustGiving page to accept donations and any words of encouragement.
