
Stockport Homes Group’s Energy Services Team Leader, Natalie Makin has been shortlisted in the Top 17 HQN ‘Housing’s Next Generation’ competition, bringing together some of the best young professionals in the industry.
Natalie has been chosen to the competition for her innovative and proactive approach to leading the Energy Advice Service at Stockport Homes Group, which carries out bespoke energy related visits to customers’ homes. This invaluable service includes providing help for customers with debt related issues and heating upgrades, as well as making great savings on energy bills.
Natalie is recognised for her commitment to her team and the organisations aims and values. Alongside this, Natalie has recently implemented new processes that ensures the electricity used throughout SHG’s portfolio is generated from renewable sources by implementing green tariffs. Earlier in the year, Natalie was also shortlisted for 24housing’s Young Leaders competition.

The first stage of the competition will be in the form of virtual presentations to an expert panel on 22nd September, and 10 of the best go through to the next stage. Half of the candidates will make it to the grand final in November and take the stage as part of a special Housing’s Next Generation event. The winner will be crowned on the same night.
