
Stockport Homes Group has raised £18,476.10 through a year of fundraising activities for its Charity of Choice, Stockport homelessness charity, The Wellspring.
The Wellspring engages with the people of Stockport that are homeless or at the risk of losing their home. The Wellspring provide free meals and hygiene facilities, clean clothing & rough sleeping resources, and health services, advice, and consultations are vital for the physical health and wellbeing of its users.
Stockport Homes Group has undertaken 24 fundraising events throughout the year, from physical challenges to community festivals that has seen colleagues embrace its ‘One Team, Transforming Lives’ values. The total raised for The Wellspring highlights the housing provider’s strong commitment to social responsibility and the passion of its employees and community in supporting a vital cause.

One of the standout initiatives was the 100% Attendance Campaign, which alone raised £7,120.00. It demonstrated how everyday commitments can be transformed into a powerful fundraising effort. The SHG Festival was another huge success, generating £2,358.20.
Through JustGiving, employees and supporters took on incredible personal challenges. The Sleep Out event secured £2,005.00, showing how spending just one night outside can raise awareness and crucial funds for homelessness. The 10K Challenge brought in £1,635.29, proving that fitness and fundraising go hand in hand while the Stuart Hancock Initiative, a campaign driven by one individual’s dedication, contributed £1,163.00, showcasing the impact that one person’s effort can make.

SHG’s first year of partnering with The Wellspring as its Charity of Choice has been nothing short of inspiring. The dedication and generosity shown throughout these fundraising efforts reflect the organisation’s core values and deep commitment to making a difference.
