Stockport Homes has won the ‘Social Landlord of the Year (Large)’ award at the Housing Excellence awards. The winners were announced at a ceremony at the Lancashire County Cricket Club on 6 May 2015.
The award recognises organisations that go above and beyond providing a roof over peoples’ heads.
Stockport Homes won the award for its approach and passion to deliver services which, with highlights including:
- Creating direct opportunities through our B4box apprenticeship scheme and a range of more traditional apprenticeships
- Promoting digital inclusion among our customers
- Developing a money advice service for customers
- Generating over £700k annually in commercial income from the collection of water charges, which we’ve ring-fenced to support a range of financial and social inclusion projects.
- Providing employment support to our customers
