Stockport Homes Group has purchased a 39-apartment development, Davenport Park Apartments, on the A6 in Stockport from developers.
Clowes Developments have confirmed the sale to the group’s subsidiary, Viaduct Housing, for undisclosed sum, following the building’s completion in 2020.
The scheme is on the site of a former hotel building near Stockport Grammar School and comprises 39 one and two-bedroom apartments alongside landscaped shared garden and electric vehicle charging points.. The homes are being offered through a range of options, including shared ownership, private rent and social housing.
Ken Lee, Chair of the Viaduct board, commented:
We are delighted to have bought these fantastic apartments that Clowes Developments have built. We will be selling them on a shared ownership basis, which will provide affordable housing and help first times buyers get onto the property ladder.”
Marc Freeman, Director at Clowes Developments added:
On behalf of the Group, I am delighted to complete the sale of DPA to a local housing group. It comes as no surprise that the apartments with their combination of hi-spec finish and excellent location, are already attracting a wealth of interest from potential occupiers. We wish Stockport Homes Group all the best with the most recent addition to their portfolio.”
