A half-term free football event organised by Stockport Homes and Stockport County attracted over 80 local children to take part for the chance to take home a trophy.
Once the warm ups were completed, the event got underway with County coaches on hand to help give tips to the children and to oversee the games at Powerleague, close to Stockport Town Centre
All the children received a certificate and a medal with some lucky enough to win a trophy. Stockport County’s coaching staff presented medals and certificates to everyone.
Robin Burman, Chair of Stockport Homes’ Board said,
We are thrilled to see so many youngsters take part in our football event. It’s also great to be working closely with Stockport County who provide a lot of support to events like this. It is great to be working together to provide these events for local children.”
