Stockport Homes celebrates Customer Stars

Nominations are open for Stockport Homes’ annual Customer Star Awards to recognise how those living in its properties are support others in their communities.

This year’s awards come as Stockport Homes marks its 20th anniversary, and see added two new categories to celebrate more of the housing provider’s customers. The awards seek to acknowledge the Stockport Homes customers doing and achieving great things to transform their life or the lives of others in their community.

The categories are:

Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion Award
This award is for an individual or group that promote and value diversity and inclusion, initiating projects that champion and celebrate our vibrant communities.  

Support in the Community Award
A community-driven initiative that has or is creating a lasting positive change, a place that provides a physical and emotional safe environment for a person or group, where they can freely express themselves without judgement. Somewhere that allows someone to join in with activities regardless of experience but helps their wellbeing.

Personal Achievement Award
An individual who has made positive changes in their life, overcoming challenges, creating or starting something new, getting involved in training or a community activity and letting their determination to improve themselves shine. 

Inspirational Volunteer Award
An individual who has been influential and has significantly contributed to making a noticeable difference to others and within their community. 

Community Group of the Year
An influential group that has significantly contributed to creating real and positive change in their community in the last 12 months.

Outstanding Commitment Award
An individual who dedicates their time to customer panels, committees, and boards, always striving to make services better and improving experiences for everyone.

Young Person Peer Leader Award (Age 13+)
An individual who actively contributes to their community, giving their time to support other young people by being a peer mentor, or a role model to others.

If you know a person or a community group who work hard to benefit their neighbourhood, or an individual who has impressed you with their commitment, passion and accomplishments nominate them now and help Stockport Homes to celebrate their success.

Nominations will close at 9am on Monday 18th August 2025 and can be submitted via the Stockport Homes website.
