Stockport gin collect more awards

Stockport Gin are delighted to announce their gins have won more awards!

Stockport Gin, run by husband-and-wife Paul and Cheryl Sharrocks, have recently announced that they have received more awards for their range of gins.

Launched in March 2019, Stockport Gin already produce a multi award winning range of gins and have now added to that list, with 2 more awards at The Gin Guide Awards 2021. The Twist of Lime Edition Gin was a winner in the Traditional Gin category, and the Pink Grapefruit & Pink Peppercorn Edition Gin was a winner in the Flavoured Gin category.

Cheryl says, “We recently found out that 3 of our gins had been named as Finalists in the awards, but to then learn that 2 of the 3 have won their respective categories. We are absolutely over the moon with the news!”

The Gin Guide Awards 2021 included entries from all around the world and is judged blind by a range of industry experts, from other distillers to world renowned bartenders. Only those gins who achieve the highest scores are named as finalists, with the top scoring gins in each category then named the winner. 

This year’s winning results follows on from the success in the 2020 Gin Guide Awards, where Stockport Gin’s Pink Edition Gin won the Flavoured Gin category.

Paul says, “Only the best gins, that achieve consistent high scores across the full range of judges are the ones that are crowned winners, so to get 2 winners is a huge success. Added to the fact we have won awards for our gins in this competition for the second year in a row too is just incredible for us!”

The couple also announced earlier this year that the same two gins had also won Silver Medals in the World Gin Awards 2021. Stockport Gin are currently in the process of moving to a new town centre distillery, which is due to open in early summer 2021.
