Stockport Business Improvement District has a foodie treat in store for everyone as the first Totally Stockport Totally Foodie Festival event comes to Stockport
Following the ever popular Foodie Friday, the team at Totally Stockport are wrapping up the Foodie Friday experience and spreading it out to include a Super Saturday too.
A tasty treat is in store with something for everyone on Friday June 30th and Saturday July 1st as the Stockport Business Improvement District team – Totally Stockport – launches the very first Totally Foodie Festival Weekend.

Totally Stockport Totally Foodie festival comes to Stockport
The Totally Foodie family event will stretch out across the Town Centre with a broad range of food offerings and exciting animation on Friday afternoon and Saturday daytime.
On Mersey Square, you will be whisked away to Cuba with Cuban Food offerings, a rhythmic band rattling out some Cuban beats and a chilled area to eat and drink. A Mini Chilli festival keeps things hot in Merseyway while healthy eating is the order of the day at Warren Street as tempting Tandoori Grills will keep you in trim with the bhangra dancers.
A fishy catch is unloaded in St Peter’s Square; choose from freshly fried Fish and Chips from the Dutch Fishermen and scintillating seafood from Holy Crab. Children will love to listen to exciting tales of mermaids at story time before leaping on to the Bouncy Beach. Round off a fabulous foodie fiesta with a trip to the market for some live Chef demonstrations and a Ratatouille movie, it really is a ‘Totally Foodie Weekend’.
BID Manager Paul Taylor is looking forward to the BID’s first event and said:
“One of the BID team’s main objectives is to attract more people into the Town Centre by creating more events and building on current successes.
“Foodie Friday has already proved to have all the right ingredients to suit many peoples’ tastes and, at the end of every month, attracts literally thousands into the town on a Friday evening.
“We want to build on this and expand the offering further, with more choice, over a Saturday too and reach into new areas of the town.
“Totally Foodie is a family affair and we are excited to be getting the first one off the ground. We have lots more events planned including a ‘Strawberry Festival’ in September, a weekend-long celebration of music and food as Stockport celebrates its musical heritage.”
