
Stockport Food & Drink Trade Show, a first for Stockport, will see businesses involved in the food and drinks sector meeting the people who are turning the industry on its head.
Innovative, young food and drink businesses from across the North West will gather in Stockport on Wednesday 20th June 2018 to share their expertise and opinions on the rapidly evolving food and hospitality industry.
The event will provide aspiring entrepreneurs, businesses and food retailers a unique opportunity to meet with the successful suppliers and producers who are doing things differently within the region.

Notable names from across the North West’s food scene will be sharing their unflinchingly honest opinions and insights into the ever-evolving industry. Speakers will include Sam Buckley, (right) head chef and owner of the critically acclaimed Where The Light Gets In; Manchester’s Best Chef award winner Matt Nutter from The Allotment Vegan Restaurant; Paul Jones, co-founder of Cloudwater brewery, recently voted the second best brewery in the world and Simon Martin, a NOMA trained chef who will shortly be opening his first restaurant Mana.
From 18:30 onwards, Where The Light Gets In will be opening their doors and welcoming guests to Stockport’s first ever natural wine bar, an opportunity to try an array of exciting natural wines and discuss the eccentric producers behind them.
The show will aim to open up conversation around sustainability, ecology and innovation within hospitality whilst showcasing the best that Stockport and the North West has to offer.
Exhibitors will include a range of artisan and local businesses to include Manchester Veg People, Manchester Smoke House, Organic North, Kauri Fine Foods and many, many more.
The event is being held in Stockport’s old town and market place, and area undergoing a food and drink renaissance as leading names such as Steve Pilling, the former Damson boss, announce plans to develop the area.
The event will culminate in the evening with the towns first ever food and business awards at Robinson’s Visitors Centre.
