Stockport Central Library will host another programme of the Build a Business Workshops for entrepreneurs to access advice and support for a successful business launch.
The ‘Build a Business’ scheme offers in-person workshops, one-to-one support and connects people to local networking events offering a wealth of expertise to help develop their ideas and turn them into profitable business ventures. Part funded by the UK Shared Prosperity fund through a grant administered by Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), support will be available until March 2025.
Stockport Central Library will host five Build A Business workshops during October and November as part of its Autumn programme of events, with workshops covering the basics of starting a business, marketing, public speaking and networking, and protecting your intellectual property.
The first session, Know Your Customers, Get Competitive, will take place on Thursday, 3rd October from 9.30am, and will cover:
- Access Market Research: Learn how to tap into valuable data and insights that reveal customer attitudes, behaviours, and beliefs.
- Create a Winning Business Plan: Develop a robust strategy based on market potential and customer needs.
- Identify Key Suppliers and Leads: Discover effective ways to connect with suppliers, marketing channels, and potential clients.
- Master Your Market: Upskill yourself by understanding your target audience inside out.
All Build A Business workshops are free to attend, and further information about the upcoming sessions this Autumn, as well as details of how to book a place, can be found of the Stockport Libraries Eventbrite page.
