Employers in Stockport are being invited to access free support for employees facing health related challenges via Greater Manchester’s WorkWell programme.
Funded by the Department for Work and Pensions and delivered by Stockport Council in partnership with local NHS services and Viaduct Care, the scheme can provide guidance to help businesses support their employees stay in work and thrive when affected by mental health and/or physical health concerns. Support is available businesses of any size, irrespective of whether they have an Occupational Health service or not.
The WorkWell programme can support a business by offering personalised support plans to employees that address their physical and mental wellbeing, enabling access to local health and non-medical wellbeing services, sharing advice on workplace adjustments to help employees remain in work, and conducting regular reviews with a dedicated Work and Heath Coach.

Employers can make a referral to the WorkWell scheme by contacting Stockport Council’s Work and Skills team, who will then make contact with individuals to ensure they access the most suitable support.
