Small batch craft gin distillery, Stockport Gin, has announced the opening of a new Gin School, following a funding award from the government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
Located at their town centre distillery, Stockport Gin School will invite guests to immerse themselves in a hands-on experience of the art of gin-making.
After being welcomed into the distillery with a Gin and Tonic, participants will have the opportunity to create their very own bespoke bottle of gin under the guidance of an expert distiller.
Paul Sharrocks, co-founder of Stockport Gin, said:
“We are incredibly excited to introduce the Gin School experience to gin enthusiasts and curious minds alike. Our aim is to offer an immersive experience where guests can delve into the intricacies of gin production while crafting a unique spirit that reflects their individual tastes and preferences.”
Participants will have access to a wide range of botanicals, allowing them to experiment and tailor their gin to perfection. From classic juniper and citrus notes to exotic spices and floral accents, the possibilities are endless, ensuring a truly personalized end result.
The Gin School experience at Stockport Gin promises to be both informative and enjoyable, with participants gaining valuable insights into the art of distillation while indulging their creative instincts.
Stockport Gin co-founder, Cheryl Sharrocks, added:
“We wanted to create an experience that not only showcases our passion for gin but also allows our guests to actively participate in the craft.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn about the rich history and techniques behind gin-making, all while having a great time.”
