Stockport-based digital agency, Tangent Design, is celebrating the signing of a significant new contract with the prestigious British fashion house, Gorgeous Couture, which dresses some of the biggest stars in television.
The agency is reaping the benefits of its decision last year to relocate to a former cotton mill, which has been converted into a centre for digital and creative businesses.
Stockport Business & Innovation Centre, which is owned by Stockport Council and part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, is based at Broadstone Mill in Reddish. It offers flexible office space and meeting facilities for some of the North West’s most exciting and creative start-ups.
Tangent Design’s contract with Gorgeous Couture, which has its manufacturing warehouse in Denton, will see the agency redeveloping the fashion company’s website and providing online marketing assistance.

Peter Tunstall, Managing Director of Tangent Design says,
“We are delighted to be working with Gorgeous Couture again and we look forward to providing a first class service for this reputable fashion company.” Its designs are often seen on the red carpet at award ceremonies, worn by the likes of Coronation Street’s Kym Marsh.
Tangent Design’s recently-recruited Web Developer, Ben McDonough, will take the lead in producing a responsive website, which responds to different sized screens and can be accessed from tablets and mobile phones as well as laptops.
The announcement of this new contract follows a highly successful 2013 for the team at Tangent Design, which resulted in record-breaking profits and a commendation in the Stockport Business Awards.
MD Peter Tunstall continued:
“Broadstone Mill is conducive to the creative nature of our company. We love the community feel of the building and even meet monthly for “bacon butties” with other companies. We are hopeful that this will encourage more work with other businesses in the centre.”
Paul Lawrence, Corporate Director at Stockport Council, said:
“It’s fantastic to see businesses at SBIC growing and winning business. The ethos of the Centre is to help businesses succeed through access to professional support, collaboration and flexibility and tenants are already seeing the benefits.”
