Stockport cybersecurity specialist appoints new Sales Director

Specialist IT cybersecurity distributor, Stockport based Distology, has expanded its senior team with the appointment of Sales Director, Rob Darby.

Rob brings 20 years of tech sector knowledge and experience to the firm, based at One St Peter’s Square in the town centre; he has previously held positions at businesses across the industry, including with Pulsant, Ingram Micro and Comms-Care.

As well as maintaining relationships with existing partners and vendors, Rob will also aid the cybersecurity specialist firm’s growth plans and helping to expand its team. He commented on his new role with Distology, saying:

“Channel is my passion and has been the key focus of my career to date, so I’m really excited to be joining the team at Distology. As part of my role here, I’ll be working closely with specialist teams to progress our partner recruitment strategy, while also developing the way partners take our technology to market to solve the ever changing and complex cybersecurity needs of their customers.

The business, which holds key partnerships with specialist technology vendors, increased its revenues by more than 75% over the past three years and also gained private equity investment from NorthEdge Capital last year which enabled their move into larger premises in Stockport town centre.
