Stockport-based cybersecurity software distributor, Distology, has announced a new partnership with TrapX, an American software company.
TrapX software uses deception technology to trick cyberattackers with decoys of a clients’ true assets, offering real-time data breach detection and prevention by creating a virtual minefield.
The new partnership will allow TrapX to expand sales of the cybersecurity software in the UK and Northern European markets, through the Stockport distributor’s network of resellers. TrapX’s innovative software won Security Shark Tank New York City 2019, picked by representatives from market leaders including Sony, Sotheby’s and Salesforce.
Steve Rowlands, Head of Sales at Distology, said:
When we’re entering into partnership with a new vendor, it’s important the technology they are delivering is innovative, simple to explain and will grab the attention of the end-users. Nothing comes close to the technology that TrapX have created and will undoubtably pique the interest of our partners.
“During the initial conversations with the TrapX team, we were particularly impressed by the use cases, its ease of deployment, the scalability of the solution and the fact that many large global customers like Procter & Gamble have decided TrapX is the best fit for their needs.”
Tony Kinkead, Regional Director for UK and Northern Europe at TrapX Security, added:
As TrapX Security is expanding globally, Distology’s market knowledge, proactive channel engagement and value-added support will help us rapidly expand our coverage.”
