Stockport County welcome their first new sponsor, Fair Price Funerals, under the stewardship of the club’s new owner, Mark Stott.
Fair Price Funerals have unveiled their new sponsor board at Edgeley Park ahead of Stockport County’s home fixture against Dover Athletic this weekend.
Fair Price Funerals is an independent company based in Compstall, and was established after owners Mark Roebuck and Adrian Tweedie saw a gap in the market for funerals at a realistic price. The company has now been trading for seven years, and bills itself as an ethical funeral directors, putting people before profit.
Founder of Stockport County’s new sponsor, Fair Price Funerals, Mark Roebuck said:
We have handled more than 4000 funerals and we’ve saved people more than £8 million in the process. We’ve expanded rapidly over the last seven years and now operate all over the North West, offering a complete funeral service for £2350 including all fees.”
Stockport County’s Commercial Manager, Simon Dawson, said:
Fair Price Funerals are exactly the kind of people we like to work with – they’ve spent the last few years modernizing the business of funerals and they’ve said ‘no’ to hitting people in the pocket at the worst possible time. We are delighted to have Mark and Adrian on board with us.”
The sponsor joins Stockport County at the start of a new era for the club, following this month’s announcement that local businessman, Mark Stott, owner of property group Vita Group, has purchased the club.
