Stockport County is proud to announce plans for its inaugural Family Sleepout to raise funds and awareness for local homelessness charity, The Wellspring.
Open to both families and individuals, the Sleepout is an opportunity for the community to come together in solidarity for a meaningful cause in the Popside Family Stand from Friday, 4th July at 7pm (gates open at 6pm) to Saturday, 5th July at 7am.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own food and drink, with a kiosk available on-site offering hot meals. Complimentary tea, coffee, and hot chocolate will be provided in the morning.
To take part, participants can click on the registration link – Stockport County Football Coaching, Soccer School and After School Club to sign up. A registration fee of £10 per family (up to 2 adults and 3 children) or £5 for individuals helps cover the operational costs of the event.
Once registered, participants will receive guidance on how to raise sponsorship for The Wellspring along with further information about Stockport County Family Sleepout.
Based in the town centre, The Wellspring engages with the people of Stockport that are homeless or at the risk of losing their home. It provides one to one individual support, free meals and hygiene facilities, clean clothing and rough sleeping resources, as well as health services whose advice and consultations are vital for the physical health and wellbeing of users.
