Stockport County will support fellow Marketing Stockport member, Signpost Stockport for Carers ahead of its fixture against Cardiff on 13th September.
The more than 30-year-old charity will host a bucket collection at Edgeley Park ahead of Saturday’s fixture. Signpost Stockport for Carers works to ensure that carers of all ages, from 6 to 96, are recognised, supported, and never left to feel alone. Carers do extraordinary work every day, and its Signpost’s mission to support them in return.
As a registered charity, Signpost relies on the generosity of the community to continue providing vital services. Every penny raised by Stockport County supporters ahead of Saturday’s game will go directly into developing and delivering this support, including:
- Take a Break – arranging a few hours of respite care, so carers can attend appointments, recharge, or simply take time for themselves.
- Moneywise – helping carers manage household budgets, tackle debt, and complete difficult financial forms.
- Counselling – offering personalised, one-to-one sessions to help carers face whatever life throws at them.
To further support Signpost Stockport for Carers can continue to make a real and lasting difference in the lives of carers across our community, County supports are encouraged to generously at Saturday’s fixture. Any donation, big or small, will help support carers across the borough who give so much every day.
