Stockport County has unveiled its new third kit for the 2025-26 season, which features a design that pays homage to club’s long history.
The kit features a historical crest going back its foundation as Heaton Norris Rovers in 1883, while the striking green colour references its original Green Lane grounds.
A photoshoot to launch the new kit took place near the club’s former home and brought together a cross-section of the entire County family: players from the Men’s first team and Academy, members of the Ladies team and individuals from community groups through the Stockport County Community Trust.
Local photographer, Andrew Findlay, made use of film photography to give images a timeless feel to match the nostalgic design of the kit and link the past with the present. The historic Nursery Inn pub and nearby bowling green provided the backdrop for the photoshoot, and sit next to Stockport County’s former grounds in the Heatons where the club played between 1889 and 1902.
Alongside the release of the photos as the new kit goes on sale, the Stockport County website has also gone green and seen the Heaton Norris Rovers crest take the place of the modern logo as the club celebrates its grassroots history and longstanding connections with the local community.
To honour this legacy, Stockport County will, for every third kit sold, donate £2 to the Club’s Grassroots Football Fund, helping to ensure that football continues to thrive in the borough at a local level. The kit is on sale from the Stockport County website and in-store.
Hatters supporters will have their first chance to see the new third kit in action when the club face Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday 9th August.
