Stockport County has announced a new digital partnership with Warrington-based Urban Zoo, a specialist digital agency for sports clubs and organisations.
The agreement will see the launch in the coming months of a new website and mobile app for both Apple and Android devices that aims to enhance the fan experience for County supporters through the use of Urban Zoo’s innovative Gamechanger platform. The platform has been developed and designed with sport in mind, and the agency boasts the likes of Aston Villa, Everton, Bournemouth and the English Football League (EFL) among its other clients.
Ryan Deane, Head of Marketing for Stockport County said:
“We’re excited to be launching a brand-new website and the club’s first mobile app, all built on Urban Zoo’s market leading Gamechanger platform.
“The partnership with Urban Zoo is another significant step forward in the journey of Stockport County. Our off the pitch efforts need to match the phenomenal rise up the leagues and we’re confident that this investment will play a crucial role in elevating our digital presence, connecting with our supporters more effectively and growing the County brand.
“We’re not just getting new tools; we’re gaining a partner who truly understands football and how to deliver a premium digital experience for our fans. To top it off, Urban Zoo are a local business based in the North West and we’re looking forward to working with them over the coming years.”
Rob Moore, Chief Commercial Officer for Urban Zoo said:
“We’re delighted to welcome Stockport County to the Gamechanger platform and provide new digital experiences for their supporters at such an exciting time for the Club.”
“Launching mobile applications for the first time, in particular, will have huge benefits for the club. The ownership has ambitious plans, and we look forward to bringing our breadth of experience.
“As a North West based business, it’s also particularly pleasing to be able to support one of our neighbours.”
