Stockport Council has launched its new Healthy Stockport website.
The site aims to give health information, provide advice and guidance on improving a person’s health and well-being, and promotes healthy lifestyle changes and choices.
The Healthy Stockport website is for people that live and work in Stockport who want to find out more about a healthy lifestyle.
Healthy Living Guides have been put together to help people to make long-lasting health changes, whether they want to stop smoking, eat a healthy diet, get more active, achieve a healthy weight, improve their mental wellbeing or reduce the amount of alcohol they drink.
Cllr McGee, Executive Member for Health at Stockport Council, said: “Stockport Council is committed to helping people living and working in Stockport to make healthy lifestyle changes.
“This new website is fresh and modern and clearly laid out to make it easy for people to find the information most relevant to their needs. It’s packed full of advice and guidance with local success stories to inspire the people of Stockport in their healthy lifestyle goals.”
As well as the content already available, more features will be added over the coming months including a local directory of services, a Lifestyle Assessment tool and guides on living with long-term illnesses.
The council would welcome resident’s feedback, comments and suggestions on the new site as they continue to make improvements to it.
