Stockport Council is hosting a workshop to explore the economic considerations of a food plan currently being developed for the borough.
A Food Plan sets out how a local authority will tackle food poverty locally and how to ensure healthy food is affordable and accessible for all parts of community.
The team putting the plan together would like to engage local Stockport food businesses to talk about what the plan is, what effects it could have on the local economy, what are sensible metrics to measure its effectiveness, how the plan could affect Stockport food businesses and what is important for the Council to be aware of and factor in when developing the Food Plan.
The Food Plan workshop will take place from 10am to 12 noon on Monday 30th January at Stockport Homes Group’s Cornerstone building (2 Edward St, Stockport SK1 3NQ) and is open for local food businesses from the manufacturing, retail and hospitality sectors.
Contact Stockport Council for further information and to register your intention to attend.
